(Chicago plastic surgeons) Importance Of Personal Hygiene

By nicole wilsone

It is really true that your health and well being depends on good personal hygiene. You are able to avoid illnesses and achieve social acceptance just from the simple practice of self grooming. Promote cleanliness by practicing healthy habits to keep yourself look good and presentable at any situation.

Maintaining personal hygiene is of the utmost importance when camping. It will help you to feel better, keeps bugs away, and makes it more tolerable for your fellow campers to be around you. In the long run, that will make your camping trip more enjoyable.

Every woman wants to have a radiant skin; unfortunately, most of them don’t figure out the causes of their skin problems. Each day, our body is attacked by pollution, the sun, sweat, stress, abuse of all kinds such as tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy fast foods.

Personal hygiene goes way beyond brushing and flossing teeth. A simple gesture such as washing your hands before opening the door of your refrigerator is good hygiene teaching; especially if your child has just come from outdoors playing. Believe it or not your children are a reflection of you as a parent.

Cleanliness is seen nowadays as next to Godliness, and neglect of your own personal hygiene may cause health and social problems of which you are not even aware. Bad breath, for example, is a common problem–the perpetrator is often accused of it, but he or she may not be attending to it.

So the question is asked, “How can I maintain a good personal hygiene and grooming?” It is never too late to start. Start practicing today and by the end of thirty days, you should be the cleanest person in your neighborhood thus improving your self image and personal appearance.

Numerous researchers confirm that a healthy nutrition makes a positive difference in skin rejuvenation. Your beauty has a close relationship with what you eat. You are what you eat, they say. However, even if you eat a healthy diet, you also need to avoid eating late at night. Do your best to eat at least 3 hours before going to bed.

Clean and short nails is also important. You wouldn’t want to accidentally scratch your patient. It would defeat the whole purpose of caring for a patient. Long nails store more dirt and bacteria and can again be a source of diseases.

Your health and the health of fellow hikers, your personal comfort are all at stake as well. You should keep those bacteria and viruses away so that you can feel better, smell better and be less likely to end up gut-wrenching sick during the camping trip.

Get plenty of good sleep. When you are sleeping, your body gets to heal and rejuvenate itself naturally. A good sleep is a part of a healthy personal hygiene as it helps to get rid of dark circles and keep your skin healthy with lesser wrinkles. Finally, it won’t hurt to have a nice tan either. Women love the beach, so it will certainly help for you to have that tanned beach-hunk look.

Global male hygiene problem exposed

By Alexandra Appelt

Traveling all over our lovely globe since childhood, there is a huge issue regarding male hygiene that bothers me ever since I was little. Being a guest on this earth for more than 50 years, it all makes it 40 some years that I have not talked about it to too many people.

Each time I talked about it to friends, family and strangers, I received a common understanding or at least a nod. Doctors and others in health related professions totally agree. Hopefully this article will be spread widely, and we all will see men change on that bad hygiene related habit most have.

It is all about washing your hands before and not after men urinate!

Did you ever notice that most men go to the bathroom, take care of their business, and then wash their hands afterward? I am sure you have. They have that habit while in airports and on airplanes, in restaurants, in railway stations and on trains, at work, at home, at the club, at the stadium, at the cinema, while traveling, anywhere and all the time.

Now, think about it: Handshakes, hugging, touching cups, plates, glasses, files and folders, all kinds of utensils, papers, fixtures, anything. And they all or most of them have in common that they were touched by others.

Bacteria Heaven!

Got the idea?

I wash my hands before I do it. Funny and amusing that other men look at you in strange ways when you wash your hands first, taking care of your business, and then leave the bathroom without washing your hands. I even heard them talking about me after they saw me leaving the bathroom without washing my hands.

Help me! All I did was getting rid of all kinds of bacteria I have collected or came in contact with since I went the last time. I touched ‘him’ with clean and bacteria free hands, and put him back where ‘he’ belongs afterward. So, who is right and who is wrong?

Men, wash your hands before you do it!

Doctors, other health professionals, men and women of the world, help me to spread the word. Send me your comments and opinion on the topic. Let’s create awareness of the topic, eliminate bacteria from being transferred billions of times daily around the globe.

Avoid Bad Food Hygiene
What to look out for

By Jack Authors

We encounter food every day in our lives, we need to buy food, prepare food and of course eat food. On some days someone else will be preparing or cooking your food so you need to know what to look out for to avoid bad food hygiene. Here are some tips that will help you to identify best practice Food safety training and hopefully avoid ill health as a result.

In Supermarkets and Shops

-Raw meat, fish and poultry must always be on separate shelves from fruit and vegetables.

-Check your packaging for broken or damaged seals and labels. Even dented cans can pose a very serious health risk if you consume products within it.

-Check your vegetables for excessive bruising and holes. This is the perfect breeding ground for maggots, bacteria and other small insects.

-Avoid pre-stuffed chickens or turkeys if you are suspicious of the supermarket’s hygiene standards. These are ideal breeding grounds for bacteria.

-Make sure you know where your food is coming from. In particular, you may want to ensure that your leafy vegetables do not contain pesticides. If you are not sure, give all your vegetables a good rinse before cooking on high heat and eating.

At home

-Food thermometers aren’t just for posh chefs, they’ll take the guesswork out of cooking so that you know that your food is definitely cooked.

-Meat should be cooked to at least 70C (or 160F) and poultry to 74C (or 165F).

-Always freeze raw meat or cook it within 2 days of purchase.

-Don’t bring frozen raw meat to room temperature, always use the ‘defrost’ function on your microwave or defrost it in your refrigerator

-Leftovers should be eaten within 5 days of cooking. Frozen leftovers should be eaten within 2 months.

The important thing for supermarkets, restaurants, cafes or anyone who works with food on a regular basis is that all firms should at the very least, meet the UK and EU legal requirement for Food Safety Training. These courses do not take much time and will ensure that you are preparing food in a safe manner for public consumption.

Restaurants, cafes and hotels should expect formal action from the authorities if they are found to be cutting corners around food safety. The consequences are imposed immediately and can involve shutting down your business or issuing a heavy fine.

This was a costly and extremely damaging lesson for the Raja Halal Meat Shop in Harrow when environmental health officers found that none of their staff were involved in food safety training in July 2009. Neither were they registered with Brent Council, which is a must for all food businesses whether they are preparing, handling or selling food. With no food safety training and food damaged by rodents, the Raja Halal Meat Shop was closed down and fined 1857.

For larger businesses, like the Victorian Shopping Centre in Southend, fines would be much larger. This business was fined 12,000 when environmental health officers found mice droppings in food that was waiting to be sold.

Make sure you are not slapped with a permanent shut down or life bans. Don’t get caught out, advise your food business managers that they should invest in food hygiene certificates.

Vincent Norland is a expert in training food handlers and can advise on reducing preventable food related illnesses. He recommends High Speed Training for obtaining a Food Hygiene Certificate and other related online e-learning courses for your industry. The current UK and EU legislation states all food handlers need to pass then Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
